What we can promise upfront is that editors and contributors to Quantarum Pets provide you with honest advice and peer reviewed information about caring, training, raising, and loving your pet.

Matthew, our founder, has more than 30 years of experience in owning pets. Mostly dogs, but also cats and small mammals. Just now Matthew, with his family, lives with an Old English Sheepdog named Gigi, and cutest little Bichon Havanese called Ema. He has combined his love of animals and his love of science and decided to make an information center where anyone interested in having a pet as their family member would get the most accurate and complete pet-related knowledge. Further below we have described in details what is our approach in combining personal experience with research to provide you with honest views and peer-reviewed facts.

Scientific method is a beautiful approach on finding truths around us. We love it as it depicts a realistic picture of the nature, so our aim is to build this Website to be one of the reliable sources of information on the Web. In order to achieve highest level of integrity, we have to be open to criticism, and that is the reason why we developed corrections policy that is explained further down in the text.

Quantarum Pets strives to be your source when seeking objective, relevant, as well as practical training and caring insights for your pet. We are a small but dedicated team of content creators and with the help of our veterinary review team, we aspire to provide you with accurate health related knowledge based on research data and experience.

About our founder:  Dr. Sumner has over 30 years of experience of owning pets. He founded Quantarum Pets to provide honest and reliable source of information to new and experienced pet owners to aid in choosing, caring and training their bellowed furry family members, pets, support and working companions.

Short bio of our Founder and Editor in chief:

Matthew was born and raised in Croatia. His beautiful wife Ana and his two sons, Bartol and Maro, tolerate his adamant interest in variety of fields. Matthew has always been keen on studies and research, so he has several degrees, including undergraduate and graduate degrees from Rijeka University, as well as graduate degree from Harvard University. When he was six years old his mother introduced him to his first Old English Sheepdog Astra. Astra is even today celebrated as one of the most important members of our family of pets, as she was present during roughest times of war and provided comfort to all family members when spending nights in the bomb shelter. To this day, several Old English Sheepdogs, Akitas, Havanese, cats and guinea pigs have been proud members of Sumner family. Matthew currently lives with an Old English Sheepdog girl Gigi and Havanese girl Ema. Matthew decided to start QuantarumPets to merge his love of scientific research, everlasting thirst for knowledge, and his experience of raising and training pets.

When possible, full disclosure of the review board will be disclosed with a published article.

Both qualitative and quantitative data are presented in articles with a clear reason why certain product is great and what pitfalls or challenges you can expect by using that product. Of course, no product is produced to fit every customer, but a clear overview certainly helps you as a consumer to find the best fit for your need. There is a chance that some of the products we recommend would be recalled before we manage to update our information. It is, therefore, our recommendation that you
monitor official announcements at the CPSC website, or EU’s CPS website to ensure your product is not recalled for any reason. There is also a chance that price of the product could be different than presented on our website, as well as that it could be unavailable when you are trying to make a purchase. We will try to mitigate this by having a periodic review of availability and pricing.
